ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Daniel and I am a Latino DJ, Music Historian, Curator, and Archivist from Chicago, Illinois.

I am a born and raised Chicagoan and currently am based out of Claremont, California. I am fascinated by subversive art practices, with much of my work focusing on dance music, tattooing, and muralism.

My professional and creative experience includes archival curating, DJing, Photography, and academic research work. Currently, I am working with Latinosindahouse as they create the first conference focused on the role of Latino DJs, Promoters, Dancers, and nightlife participants in Chicago's historical nightlife subcultures.

My work focuses on drawing connections between the origins of queer of color subcultures and their legacies within contemporary culture. Through this, I hope to work towards building a world that celebrates the rich history and overlooked work that thousands of queer of color creatives have done to imagine a freer, queerer, and more beautiful world.
