Latinos In Da House Conference
The Inaugural Dance Music Conference Celebrating Latine DJs, Producers, Dancers, and Promoters.
In September 2024, Daniel helped in producing the first ever Chicago Dance Music Conference celebrating the legacy of Latinos in Dance Music History. This conference is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich legacy of Latino contributions to the Dance Music scene from its inception in the 1970s. Since the inception of Dance/Chicago House music, Latinos have played a pivotal role in its development and legacy.
Creating a Latine Dance Archive
In producing the Latinos In Da House Music Conference, The Chicago Dance Authority seeks to begin creating an archive of the many roles that Latine folks have contributed to Chicago's Dance and House scenes since the 1970s.

As an intern, Daniel has spent their time planning and producing the inaugural conference, as well as creating an archive of flyers, photos, and other media where community collections can be digitized for generations of Latinos to look back on.
